[NAME] Publications has been awarded $100,000 from The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation at The Miami Foundation as part of the third edition of the Pérez CreARTE Grants Program (CreARTE). This program aims to support and enhance the arts ecosystem in Miami-Dade County by distributing a total of $5,000,000 in grants over the next two years. These grants will benefit 39 cultural organizations, fostering a more vibrant and connected arts community.
Since 2008, [NAME] has continuously produced publications and programs that highlight artistic practices in the Americas which are often overlooked in mainstream art and design histories. Our exhibitions, publications, and archival projects seek to promote artistic literacy and uphold artistic legacies that have a connection to Miami. This grant will enable us to continue and expand this work from our location in West Miami.
Since 2019, CreARTE has invested a total of $10 million in 45 different organizations in Miami-Dade County. This significant investment has allowed these organizations to reach hundreds of thousands of individuals through grant-supported programming, capacity building, and impact assessment.
CreARTE is made possible through a unique collaboration between the Pérez Family Foundation and The Miami Foundation, a prominent nonprofit organization in the local community. The Miami Foundation currently manages philanthropic funds amounting to approximately $445 million.
