Carol Simon Rosenblatt (August 31, 1941 – May 6, 2021) received a BA in English Literature from New York University and later studied art at the San Francisco Art Institute in 1968. From 1969 to 1970, she studied painting with Grandy Brodie, an experience that left a lasting impression on her work. In 1986, she expanded her studies to include photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. Rosenblatt exhibited widely throughout her career, beginning in the early 1970s and continuing throughout her life until her passing in 2021. Her work encompassed painting, photography, mixed media, glass, and ceramics over five decades of artistic practice. In 2010 she was included in An Exchange with Sol LeWitt at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA.
