Published by The Hearing Trumpet, an imprint of [NAME] Publications, Carol Simon Rosenblatt: Paintings and Other Containers is a 152-page monograph exploring the life and work of the late artist. Included are essays by artist Diane Neumaier and curator Kristina Parsons, along with an interview conducted by Raimundo Figueroa with the artist’s husband, Jon Rosenblatt. Alongside these contributions, the publication features full-page plates showcasing Rosenblatt’s notable works from 1974 to 2017. Spanning paintings, photographs, mixed media pieces, ceramics, and glass—her lifelong body of work is richly presented throughout.

Carol Simon Rosenblatt (August 31, 1941 – May 6, 2021) received a BA in English Literature from New York University and later studied art at the San Francisco Art Institute in 1968. From 1969 to 1970, she studied painting with Grandy Brodie, an experience that left a lasting impression on her work. In 1986, she expanded her studies to include photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. Rosenblatt exhibited widely throughout her career, beginning in the early 1970s and continuing throughout her life until her passing in 2021. Her work encompassed painting, photography, mixed media, glass, and ceramics over five decades of artistic practice. In 2010 she was included in An Exchange with Sol LeWitt at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA.
